1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Contact and demo-request information – name, work email, firm, role, phone (optional), areas of interest. Collected when you submit our demo form, email us, or sign a subscription agreement.
- Pilot and subscription data – tickers and watchlist names you ask us to cover, custom name additions, configurations you set in the PM portal.
- Communications – emails, Slack messages, and call notes from any analyst Q&A or scoping conversations.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage logs – IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, referring URL. Used for security and product improvement.
- Cookies and similar technologies – essential cookies for the site to function and, with your consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors engage with our research. We do not sell data or run advertising. See our Cookie Policy for details.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
For subscribers, we may receive information from data partners (S&P Capital IQ, transcript providers) that is used solely to populate the research output you receive. We do not enrich your personal record from third-party data brokers.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your demo request, schedule a call, send a scope or proposal.
- To deliver subscription services – including generating research output on names you request, distributing notes to your fund's Slack workspace, and producing PDFs for your record-keeping.
- To improve the product – internal analytics, error monitoring, and methodology refinement (always on aggregated or anonymized data).
- To send you transactional emails (e.g., your morning brief if you've subscribed) and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, KYC if applicable, response to lawful regulatory requests).
3. Legal Basis (GDPR-Applicable Visitors)
For visitors and contacts in the EEA / UK, we process personal data on the basis of (a) contract performance for active subscribers, (b) legitimate interests for prospect outreach and product analytics, (c) consent where you've explicitly opted in (e.g., analytics cookies), or (d) legal obligation where required.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell personal data. We share limited data only with:
- Service providers – hosting (Firebase / Google Cloud), email delivery (Resend / Postmark), calendar (Calendly), CRM, payments (Stripe or wire / ACH processor). Each is contractually bound to confidentiality and limited use.
- Slack workspace – if you've integrated ABI delivery, your fund's Slack workspace receives ABI-published research. Within your Slack workspace, content is governed by your workspace policies.
- Professional advisors – auditors, lawyers, regulators when legally required.
We do not share your watchlist composition, custom name requests, or any subscription information with any other client.
5. International Transfers
ABI Analytics is incorporated in India. We operate global infrastructure (US, EU, India). Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
6. How Long We Keep It
- Demo requests and prospect data – up to 24 months after last contact, then deleted or anonymized.
- Subscriber data – for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years after termination (for audit and regulatory purposes), unless legal obligation requires longer.
- Web logs – 12 months maximum, then aggregated and anonymized.
7. Security
We protect data with TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication on all internal systems, and routine security reviews. No system is 100% impenetrable; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority within 72 hours.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email info@abianalytics.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you also have rights under CCPA / CPRA – right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive data. The same email is your contact point.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes to data uses will be communicated via email to active subscribers.
